NTLS brings together national leaders from educational associations, as well as editors of educational technology journals, directors of non-profit foundations, federal policy makers, and corporate representatives. The goal is to accelerate the meaningful impact of digital technologies in education for the 21st century through development of recommendations and guidelines emerging from the summit are published in a range of educational technology journals and featured presentations at educational conferences.

The CENIC education award honors innovative uses of Internet 2 in K-12 and higher education for which Teaching and Learning Interchange Project was awarded honorable mention in the Education category. Judges were comprised of leaders in industry, government and academia.

National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers Writing Team 2000-2001
Nominated by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing and California Department of Education to represent the state. These standards have since been adopted by NCATE as a Specialized Program Area (SPA) for national recognition. Coordinated by the International Society for Technology in Education. Washington D.C., 2000 – 2001.

College of Notre Dame, for exemplary contribution to the College of Notre Dame Strategic Plan resulting in extended WASC accreditation and compliance with an Irvine Foundation Grant.
Smithsonian Technology Innovation Laureate Award 1999
Team member of Touch the Future: Teach a Child An Apple New Connections Grant to College of Notre Dame in partnership with Roosevelt Elementary School in Burlingame, CA, two local senior centers, and the Coyote Point Museum. Steve Jobs nominated the project for the Smithsonian-Computer World award which honors innovation in education and academia. A description of the project is part of a permanent collection in the Smithsonian .
Educational Multimedia: Best of Show & First Place, Class B, Grades 3-5 1995
A Celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Park School Art Show." This multimedia project was developed while working with eighty fourth grade students and their teachers at Park School, Mill Valley, CA. Submitted in competition with 63 other commercial and student-developed products centered on the theme of community.
